TopTank Hot Water Cylinders

Proper Unvented Cylinders from IPPEC!
Mains pressure hot water has become desirable in recent years. IPPEC was one of the first to supply unvented (directly supplied from mains water) hot water cylinders to give mains pressure hot water supply to showers, taps throughout the house or in a public building. These corrosion-resistant glass enamelled steel cylinders have high capacity heating coils so that they recover from cold very rapidly. The water in the body of cylinder is not overheated for long periods of time like in a thermal store. The moderate temperature of about 50 oC ensures continuous and ample hot water supply at all times and without wasting energy.

Plumbers prefer cylinders with top connection and our new TopTank unvented cylinder answers their prayers. All the connections are at the top. Primary flow and return, cold and hot water and secondary circulation connections are at the top. This way pipes can be directly dropped from the ceiling and not the sides. Even the immersion heater and the cylinder thermostat are at the top for easy wiring. The square cylinder can be tucked in a corner. No need to waste storage space around it to access connections. The hot water tanks are supplied with all the usual safety features as with all our cylinders. That is to say expansion vessel, pressure and temp. safety valve, inlet group valve and thermostats with cutout. Just empty a small amount of hot water from a tap befor accessing the standby immersion heater or any of the fittings.

New twin coils 200 litre cylinder adds to the range of 300 and 500 litre ones
The TopTank twin coils 200 L unvented pre-insulated hot water cylinders is a new addition to the range in 2005. One coil is heated by the boiler and the other by solar power or another heat source. Alternatively the coils can be joined together to give exremely fast heat-up time.
The cylinders are complete with immersion heaters, expansion vessels, temp. & pressure safety kits, and thermostats and each with one motorised valve for the boiler heating coil. The new 200 L twin coils cylinders are supplied with 2 standard immersion heaters to give them added versatility.
