PEXAPIPE system details

The Primary Connections

The Problem
What is the best way to connect underfloor manifolds, radiator manifolds or hot and cold manifolds to the boiler and cylinder? Do you run rigid metal pipes in the ceilings and then down the walls? What about boxing those pipes or do you leave them exposed? Where do you put the air vents? How do you access them?

The Solution
The answer to above problems is to use continuous pipe in pipe in the floor. This PEX pipe is unreeled from coil on the floor starting at the source and all the way to the manifold without any joints in the floor. It is then covered with the floor insulation and or screed. Thus solving at a stroke all the ducting problems and associated high costs. Now there are no more limitations on the position and number of the manifolds in the building. The manifold does not have to be near the boiler. See Pexatherm control section for more schematics.
Even if the boiler is in a different building, IPPEC can provide a solution with its pre-insulated PEX pipes. See Insupex pages.

Pexapipe primary PEX pipe in floor insulation under Pexatherm pipe-in-rail UFH

IPPEC supplies PEX pipe, with oxygen barrier, in conduit in 25 and 32 mm o.d. from stock in 50 m coils in black conduit to feed 3/4" and 1" manifolds. Fittings that connect those PEX primaries to manifolds are also in stock. These include straight couplers with M or F threads, elbows and Tees.
New: Multilayer primary PEX 26 mm o.d. in stock.
PEX pipe (primaries and secondaries) in conduit ready to connect to manifolds.

The Hidden Primary
The primary schematic where the wall mounted boiler is connected in PEX 25 pipe to UFH manifold, and to
another UFH or radiator manifoldl on first floor. Note PEX 25 is in floor insulation and is conduit.

The Accessible Distribution Manifold

Excellent Hot and Cold water Distribution

The PEXAPIPE advanced plumbing system uses the primary PEX pipe to supply all the manifold in a ring system. This double feed system to the manifolds ensures equal pressure and good flow in domestic hot and cold water services.

The primary pipes are buried in the insulation layer in case of underfloor heated floor or in the screed or underfloor boards in other buildings. See PEXAPIPE cylinders and DHW circulation

IPPEC supplies special H&C plastic manifolds boxes for neat installations. All the pipes are hidden in the floor and the walls where required.
