The
Problem
What is
the best way to connect underfloor manifolds, radiator manifolds or hot
and cold manifolds to the boiler and cylinder? Do you run rigid metal
pipes in the ceilings and then down the walls? What about boxing those
pipes or do you leave them exposed? Where do you put the air vents? How
do you access them?
The
Solution
The
answer to above problems is to use continuous pipe in pipe in the floor.
This PEX pipe is unreeled from coil on the floor starting at the source
and all the way to the manifold without any joints in the floor. It is
then covered with the floor insulation and or screed. Thus solving at
a stroke all the ducting problems and associated high costs.
Now there are no more limitations on the position and number of the manifolds
in the building. The manifold does not have to be near the boiler. See
