| The
lower coil in the Pexapipe unvented cylinder is connected to the solar panel
via pump and valves which are controlled by a special Pexatherm solar controller.
The cylinder supplies hot water in the Pexapipe advanced plumbing system via manifolds and in a ring fashion. |
The solar collector is made of 4 mm prismatic glass covering special heat
absorbent plate which are over elliptical copper pipes sitting on insulation.
All mounted in robust lightweight aluminium frame. The solar collectors measure 1000 x 2000 mm and are only 120 mm deep. Two 3/4" connect the panels to each other and / or to the cylinder lower heating coil and the solar pump set. |
The
95% efficient solar panels provide at least water pre-heat in Winter to
the TopTank solar cylinder. In Summer the panels could provide all the hot
water heating required. In any case the need for heating from the boiler could be reduced substantially. |
