The PEXATHERM Pipe-in-Board UFH systems for solid and floated floors

Introduction
The new Pipe-in-Board system is another option from IPPEC. It is fast to install requiring no additional fixings or special tools. It is ideal in small and large areas and one-off installation. The pipes can be tightly spaced using the 'snail path pattern' or loosely spaced using the 'zigzag' pattern. The profiboard or Clipboard (Egg-crate like board) is designed to easily overlap making a vapour proof barrier and providing a continuous pattern for laying the pipes. The clipboard plates can be attached at the edges to the floor insulation with carpet tape.
The profiboards nett dimesions are 1300 x 800 mm and an effective area after overlap of 1.10 m2.

System Design
The Pexatherm Pipe-in-Board UFH system is often used for solid floors. It is fast to install with maximum pipe layout flexibility. The board is laid on any suitable floor insulation. There is no need for staples or rails to fix the pipe. The profiled boards with nodules hold the PEXc 16 pipes firmly in position. IPPEC's multilayer pipe can be used with the clipboards.
The connection of manifold, mixer and boiler is the same as all other Pexatherm systems.

The CAD design
Each Pexatherm system includes a project dossier. The project dossier is made of pipe layout drawings, installation instructions, primary schematics, wiring diagram and fault finding procedures.

System Components
The system is comprised of Profiboards with 10 mm thick insulation or without insulation, edge strip insulation, PEXc heating pipe with oxygen barrier, distribution manifold, mixer, pump and programmer. Other items such as individual room thermostat and cement additive are on the option list.

Example installation
Pexatherm Pipe-in-board is often used in conservatories and extensions since no special tools are required. Just press the pipe in position with your foot. Installers like to use it on solid ground floors in homes and in large areas such as halls due to speed of installation.

Insulation
IPPEC supplies floor insulation in several thickness and different material as well as edge (perimeter) insulation strip for the above systems when used in solid floor.
