IPPEC Advanced Temperature Controls - Gamma

PEXATHERM Advanced Temperature Control - Gamma controller for commercial plant

New Gamma Controller
The new Gamma weather compensators, builds on the advanced features of the Delta with many more features, to controls large domestic and commercial boiler plant. Features such as two fully compensated heating area zones, two outside sensors, remote control unit are some of benefits. The Gamma can be programmed directly, or through the remote unit RS 10. Two boiler sensors on flow and return means that the Gamma can be used to control large boilers that require constant return temperature. A comprehensive list of variable parameters is on offer to meet the most demanding installation for performance and efficiency of the heating system.
The Gamma series of controllers include units that can control solar panels for the domestic hot water along side boilers.
Several Gamma controllers can be connected together to give impressive building management control for all types of heating systems. As with the Delta, the Gamma is supplied complete with temp. sensors and a detailed instruction manual.

Accessories
The WG400 enclosures shown with the Delta simplifies installation by providing a connection and a wiring panel.

Internal sensor RFF 40FS to give even more accurate temp. control.

Remote control unit RS 10 with complete programming facilities and internal temp. sensing.

PC laptop interface including serial connection and software.

Pexatherm servo motors and Mixers in various sizes are available with the Gamma and to suit different plant.

New and in stock
Gamma for the controling 2 heating zones, hot water and 2 Boilers. New Thermo Electric Actuators.

To learn about weather compensation see our Delta controller page.

Boiler characteristics
Non modulating boilers adjust their water temperature by starting and stopping at intervals. This is called boiler cycling. The job of advanced controls is to reduce the cycling while running thr boiler at the lowest possible temperature. The boiler sensors in conjunction with outside sensor are used by the Gamma to acheive this optimum situation. The boiler output is optimised withou tallowing the boiler temp. to drop below the pre-set minimum at all times.
Parallel shift
The water temperature in the boiler and in the floor is determined by the outside temperature based gradient of the slope for the specific heating system. These slopes can be adjusted for gradient and can be shifted in parallel to the left or to the right to increase or decrease the temperature to give the precise comfort level.

Installation

The Gamma schematic
The six sensors of the Gamma 233B connect via the WG400 enclosure panel, while the output to boiler, pumps, valves and two mixers servo-motosr to the other side of the panel.
Many advanced features are incorporated. The boiler and pump can be run in such a way to dissipate all the heat from boiler (pump overrun).
The full boiler output can be diverted to cylinder when required to achieve rapid heat up of the domestic hot water (DHW priority).
The domestic hot water temperature in the cylinder and many other temperature settings can be set at the Gamma.
Motorised valves wiring is simplified as all the relays are built in the Gamma.
The Gamma compensate the boiler through one outside sensor and the heating systems through another if required. Two seperate types of heating systems can beconnected to the Gamma. Such as underfloor heating and radiator systems.
Design procedure
Several Gamma hydraulic and wiring schematics can be supplied, plus a comprehensive manual with separate user and heating engineer section.
Please noet this controller must be installed and programmed by a specialist heating and control engineer.
