Whole House Automation Features & Benefits

Smart House System
The Smart House system provides a cost effective alternative to traditional wiring; it allows many features for improved comfort, security and has energy saving benefits for all domestic and light commercial building.

Temperature control
Smart House can provide temperature control for individual rooms. This minimises fuel consumption as areas that are not in use or are heated by external influences (e.g. solar or lots of people in room), are not over heated. Two levels of temperatures can be set in each individual room depending on whether the room is occupied. This feature means that the room can be brought back to a comfortable temperature within a short time after a period of un-occupancy. Temperatures can be regulated accurately. The system uses PID loop control normally only found in industrial applications unlike the common ‘on / off’ control which allows a fluctuation of up to two degrees in room temperature which may reduce comfort levels and waste energy. The system can be used with The Multizoner wiring centre as shown in the display.

Lighting control
The Smart House system can manage lighting to reduce energy consumption to a minimum. Lights can be switched on and off automatically using motion sensors or timer functions in addition to the light switch on the wall. Lights can be dimmed to optimised light level or balanced with natural light to provide a constant level. All types of light can be dimmed (fluorescent tubes, tungsten & LED). Lighting scenes can be preset to create moods for different uses in the same way all the lights can be switched off at the same time from a single point.

Security
A comprehensive intruder alert and deterrent function can be implemented. Window switches can be monitored to check if access points are secure, motion detectors can sound an alarm or send a text, and lighting can be controlled to simulate occupation.

Remote Access
The system can send and receive text messages so people can be alerted if an event occurs (intruder alert, smoke alarm, activated water leak, etc.). Remote control can be achieved by sending a text to switch something on or off from your mobile phone (activate alarm system, switch on security lights, activated heating etc.). There is a wide range of control units and accessories with the Smart House system.
